Knee Ride for Self Defense

The knee ride is the most soul-crushing position in all of jiu-jitsu and is one of the most important tools in your self defense toolbox!

This position – also known as a knee mount or knee on belly – puts HUGE pressure on your opponent, which gives you tons of submission opportunities because of all the stupid things he’ll do in his desperation to get out.

Gravity and the ability to rotate your shoulders allows you to punch down from mount and knee ride with tremendous power…

It’s also a very mobile position that – in a jiu-jitsu context – allows you to take advantage of his mistakes, jump on submissions and spin to the back. In a self defense context, however, that same mobility allows you to disengage and run away if more of your opponent’s friends show up!

Here’s a FREE 16:55 mini-instructional to help you master the transitions, movements, and details needed for a killer knee ride.

It has all the fundamentals, transitions, and training methods to take your knee ride to the next level!

Watch this video, train the material, and I guarantee your knee ride will improve.

P.P.S. The mini-instructional about the knee ride is a small excerpt from the BJJ Foundations course.

This course is the best way I know to get good at the fundamentals of BJJ as fast as possible. Check out the full BJJ Foundations instructional by clicking here.

I accidentally followed the advice of a mini-mall ninja master

I’m limping around right now because of a torn groin.  It’s not serious; it’ll heal up, but it’s my own damn fault.
